The James River
Division's purpose is to share the fun and excitement of
model railroading with modelers in Central and Southside
Virginia. We do this through our web page, a
Member’s Forum on Yahoo Groups, a quarterly
newsletter, Crossties, and several meets per year
in locations around the Division. These meets feature
clinics, a white elephant table, model displays and
contests, door prizes, home layout tours
and model railroading fellowship. Clinics are generally
how-to modeling subjects, but also include information on
prototype railroading as well. We try to have one
all-layout-tour meet per year. The James River
Division makes every effort to bring the benefits of NMRA
membership and model railroading in general to you on a
more local and personal level.
