A post from excellent modeler Trevor Marshall who has moved recently. This is something that seems to be happening to many of us. New venues mean new opportunities.
The James River Division's purpose is to share the fun and excitement of model railroading with modelers in Central and Southside Virginia.

Rod and Richard have just published the April 2020 Crossties It is another great issue!
A few years ago I lived in Culpepper va. That landed me squarely in the James River Division. I met many of you all and felt like I had found a home with like minded and wonderful modelers .Fast forward a few years, the loss of my wife to brain cancer, then a few years trying to regain some semblance of a normal life, raising two small girls (that was an adventure all in of itself) then eventually I remarried to a wonderful women who supports my addiction, Oops I mean my Hobby! That marriage also brought a move into the Potomac division. Much has changed with the support of my wife I built a building to host NMRA events and eventually build a RR. Its called the Hobby barn. We are just across the border so please feel free to sneak across the border and join us. Phil will be posting a schedule of clinics. You all are always welcome at my place and I will join you as much as I can. I will always consider the James river gang my home. Jerry
